They often lack the self-direction to stay ahead of their studies. They don't have the information they need to know if they can get things done. 

Shovel is a new 'real-time' study planner. It puts students in complete control of their time and tasks and lets advisors show students where they are likely to have problems. 

What makes Shovel unique is that it calculates time. Students always know how much time they have, how much time they need, and if they have time to get each task done - continously in real time. 

Students can 'timebox' each task to a specific study time using simple drag and drop functionality.
